Wait, what?! Yep, I’ve become obsessed with making tiny things. These individually handmade little bitty ceramic carrot car knick knacks are so cute. And the carrot would be absolutely enormous if it was to scale!

Please do look at photos for size because they really are very bitty. About 1.25″ long. (They were also pretty painstaking to paint, so I probably won’t start making a ton of these.)

An adorable little teeny handmade ceramic pink car with a carrot. Pop it in a plant, sit it on a windowsill, carry it around, or gift it to a friend – it will bring cheer wherever it goes. Approximately 1″ high. Each one is made and decorated by hand- so sizes and look will vary slightly from piece to piece.

Description

This handmade ceramic knick knack is intended to cheer a friend, brighten a plant or to beautify your desk, counter, or windowsill. This piece of ceramic art was made by hand in my Easthampton, Massachusetts studio.

Process: Each piece begins as a chunk of white stoneware clay. For these mini rainbows, I roll a small coil and shape it into a rainbow before drying and firing.  I then decorate the bisque fired piece with colored slips and underglazes for a bright and vibrant surface.  These decorative pieces are left unglazed but are fired to cone 6 in my electric kiln for durability.

Note: Minor imperfections, variations, and quirks are part of the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of using handmade items.

Dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended. Whenever possible, clean with gentle, non-abrasive cleaning products.
