It is a real thrill to be a vendor at the 2011 Boston Bazaar Bizarre. This is a show that we have attending several times as shoppers, but this will be the debut as vendors.

In past years, we’ve waited patiently in line to get in (okay, maybe impatiently), and been rewarded with some of the top handmade shopping experiences anyone could hope to have. Some of our most treasured things came from the Bazaar Bizarre. And over the years it’s where we discovered some of our favorite artists.

This year should be no different, with an incredible roster of vendors. Hope to see you there!

Craftland, a wonderful shop full of handmade art in Providence, Rhode Island, is once again expanding for the holiday season, and we are thrilled to be a part of it. The annual Craftland Show groups together work by 170 artists to create a truly unique holiday shopping experience — part craft fair, part traditional storefront. Look for work by Abby Berkson Ceramics at Craftland, at 235 Westminster Street, from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Eve.

We are also excited to learn that a Pile O’ Animals mug was pictured in the Providence Journal last week, as part of their article “The Fine Art of Gift Giving.” (Sadly, we were unable to locate the full article online.) Anyone interested in buying a mug like the one pictured can try Craftland. The Pile O’ Animals design also appears on numerous other items in our online shop, such as an extra-large mug, a juice cup, and a bowl.

These pots are headed to the Snow Farm Seconds Sale in Williamsburg, Massachusetts. The Seconds Sale takes place every year, for three weekends in November and it’s a secret weapon of shoppers who specialize in finding unique, handmade holiday gifts.

The sale includes work by a large number of potters, glassblowers and other artists. Many items are seconds and have imperfections that can be sometimes almost unnoticeable. Other items are just old and no longer fit in cohesively with the artist’s current body of work. They all have one thing in common: they are available at lower-than-normal prices — sometimes shockingly low.

We’re getting close to the start of the 2011 Fall and Winter schedule. We will be returning to the wonderful Twist Fair in Northampton, Massachusetts at the Northampton Center for the Arts on November 11 and 12. It’s held Friday evening and all day Saturday.

For anyone who hasn’t been to Twist, it is a great show with 60+ artists right in downtown Northampton. We participated in the Spring 2011 edition of Twist, and had a lot of fun.

We’ll be at the Art Star Craft Bazaar at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia this weekend, May 14 and 15.

We’re very excited to take part in this terrific show for the first time. The show is free admission, from 11 AM – 6 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

We’ll have a wide variety of work for sale, from mugs and bowls to teapots, vases, and soypots (like the example seen in this post).

I will be participating in the Art Star Craft Bazaar this spring-  May 14th and 15th in Philadelphia, PA.  I am really excited for this event- it is that farthest I will be traveling for a show, and I fully expect to have a great time.

Twist Fair, Abby’s first fair of the year, will be here on May 6th and 7th, here in gorgeous Northampton, MA.

Twist has a great atmosphere and a lot of great vendors.  It will be a great way to open the season!

The two-day show takes place on June 11 & 12, outdoors in Brooklyn’s McCarren Park, 11 AM to 7 PM each day.

Renegade Craft Fair is an amazing event for indie crafts, and we can’t wait to be part of it!
